On October 9th, we got the unique opportunity to spend the day observing a few sleepy and hungry polar bears in their natural habitat; just patiently waiting for water to freeze so they can hunt again. We woke up bright and early, took a shuttle out in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area and hopped on our “Polar Rover”.
On October 7th, we set out to discover all that Churchill could offer us by foot. We strolled through the quiet streets (on constant alert for any hungry white bears that may have snuck their way into town) and made our way to Munck Park where we got to dip our fingers in the icy waters of the Hudson Bay for the first time.
