Thanksgiving in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

On the sunny Thanksgiving morning, we packed up our things from Oreland Motel in Flin Flon and hit the road for Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Under the big blue sky, we thought we would take a bit of detour and take a leisurely cruise through the beautiful Prince Albert National Park.
We drove through the boreal forest of lanky birch trees, aspens, and evergreens hoping to spot some wildlife. We managed to catch a good glimpse of a curious little fox by a lake on our way up to the large Waskesiu Lake. We spent a couple hours taking in the scenery before heading into town in search of a Thanksgiving Feast.
Missing our families but endlessly thankful for the amazing opportunities life has offered us and the unconditional love and support of our family and friends, we enjoyed a 3 course turkey dinner at Ricky’s.
Another short stop in a sleepy prairie town and we were off to the big city (once again), Edmonton, Alberta.
